Renovating your flooring is an exciting process but before you run out and choose samples,
take a good look at your home and see how your flooring has been performing for you.
Determine how you might like to
use the space in the future, Start by identifying each room you plan to renovate and take a good look at the purpose of use.
For example:Is the spare bedroom used as a living space,a recreation room, or part of your home office?This will help pinpoint
the best type of flooring materials suited for the room.Now that you have determined the use of the space,you need to match
the type of flooring to your to usage.
When selecting a floor finish,you should consider the conditions for the space.
Who will be living in this room or using the dwelling area?Do
Okay.Now,you are really pumped,excited to entertain a fresh new look for your home!
This presents a great time to
get out "the old and bring in the new". You can accomplish this by collecting all the "uglies & discarded
items and proceed with a yard/garage sale.Or another option, you may consider is to just simply collect all the unwanted items
and direct them to your local landfill.Either way,you really should take inventory of your belongings of your home or your
office.You got to let go!
My rule of thumb reads like this,"If I never reach for the use of an item every 30 days,it
simply becomes expendable for my current lifestyle".
Once you have identified these unwanted items that have been
taking over the rooms in your home that will be remodeled, now you can take matters to the next step and consider acquiring
new updated appliances and gadgets that will make it easier and more comfortable to live in these updated rooms. Don't forget
when updating appliances look for energy savings that could be obtained , and consult with your local electric or utility
provider for a free energy audit. You should plan to have these appliances and lifestyle sundry items delivered and or installed
after your flooring has been completed.Why relocate things twice!
Now,you should believe and have confidence!You are
ready to put the wheels in motion and acquire that new flooring and make arrangements to have this new flooring properly set
into your dwelling or business space.
Part 3, Selection of the Proper Flooring Material
You should feel good about your
efforts and you are really off and running with your new flooring project. Many good things have been accomplished, thus far.
One, you have clearly defined each room for your home or office .Now, it is time to find and acquire your new flooring.
The right selection will be a choice that reflects your personality and lifestyle along with a bit of the proper floor

manufacturers will fall in a 4 to 5 level rating. So your choice really is simple not complex. You selection does not have
to rely on the function of the material but again the appeal it has for the way you wish to live in your new remodeled rooms.
When all is said and done, let your emotions (touch, feel and visual appeal) overrule all that spec stuff. Wow, you
will have chosen the right flooring for your home or office.
